Step 03 · Cancel
The Cancel Kit
Who bills you decides where you cancel. Pick the way the subscription is paid. Each page follows that company's own help page where we could read one (or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's), links to it and says when we last checked. Where an official page could not be read, the page says so.
Paid through AppleApp Store, Apple TV+, iCloud+, apps billed by AppleYour statement shows APPLE.COM/BILL. Apple bills every subscription bought through it on that one line, so the line alone does not say which app it is.
Paid through Google PlayAndroid apps and subscriptions billed by GoogleYour statement usually shows GOOGLE * followed by the app or service name.
Paid through PayPalAutomatic payments you approved in PayPalYour card or bank statement shows PAYPAL * followed by the business name; PayPal itself lists the business under its automatic payments.
Paid through AmazonPrime, Prime Video channels, Kindle Unlimited, Audible and other Amazon membershipsYour statement shows AMAZON, AMZN, Prime Video or Audible.
Paid by card or bank accountThe company charges your card or takes the money from your bank account itselfYour statement shows the company's own name.
On your phone or cable billStreaming add-ons, premium texts and other charges billed by your phone, internet or cable companyThe charge is on your phone, internet or cable bill, not your card statement.
Letter makerA cancellation letter, or a letter revoking permission for automatic payments, printed from your own words. We send nothing.
The Cancel Kit is free. Cancel Party is not a law firm and this is not legal advice; for a dispute about a charge, your bank or card issuer is the place to start.
